Road Report: Kristinia DeBarge's First Show at Madison Square Garden

Nineteen-year-old Kristinia DeBarge Kristinia DeBarge is currently opening for none other than Britney Spears on her "The Circus: Starring Britney Spears" tour. DeBarge will be on the road with Britney through September 15, performing songs from her debut album, 'Exposed,' and lucky for us, the pop/R&B singer will be checking in with PopEater all along the way. In her second Road Report, DeBarge describes what it was like at her very first performance at New York City's Madison Square Garden.

Hey guys!

I'm in New York City this week and I'm having soooo much fun! Last night was my first show at Madison Square Garden. It was the third show on the tour so far and every night has been getting better and better. Every night before I take the stairs up to the stage I feel a rush! When I go on stage, I'm just like, 'Wow. This is really happening!'

New York is special because I had a lot of people in the house to see me from my record labels Soda Pop/Island Def Jam. I was really excited to perform for the people who work so hard on my project every day.

My dancers told me that they saw Britney actually watching our set last night -- so cool! Last night was the first night Jordin Sparks joined the tour, and she is so sweet! Also joining the tour here is the group One Call. They are really nice young guys, and they seem as excited as I am to be on the tour :-).

I love New York City so much! We've been here a lot lately and there are so many things about the city that make visiting fun. I love to get yummy cheesecake with strawberries, and eating Cuban food and salsa dancing at this great little spot near our hotel.

I'm really looking forward to visiting all the cities left on the tour, and am so happy to be a part of this experience. I can't wait to see you guys in your hometown, so please come out to the shows!

xo,
Kristinia                                                                                                                                           -Agencies

Pussycat Dolls to split

American pop girl group Pussycat Dolls may split soon, it has emerged. It is believed that jealous rows over the surging popularity of lead singer Nicole Scherzinger may be the reason for the split of the 2003 formed group.
Earlier in the year Nicole was specially mentioned for the group's Slumdog Millionaire single Jai Hoh! Which was dubbed as the pussycat Dolls fearuring Niclole Scherzinger.
Band member Kimberly Wyatt's admission that the group was taking a long break to consider their future has only sparked more speculation of hte band's break up.
The Mirror quoted her as saying,"The girls and I have just finished our huge world tout and are taking a break from the band and doing our own projects and deciding what the future will hold." The band latest concert  was held earlier this month in Beirut,Lebanon- Agencies

Blender Blog Main Kid Rock Keeping August Interesting

kid_rock.jpg
The last week of August is usually as slow as slow news periods get, but Mr. Michigan Kid Rock has been keeping himself busy, wrapping a tour with rebel legends Lynyrd Skynyrd and even launching his own American Badass beer at two summer shows in Detroit.

For most rockers, that'd be enough, but Bob Ritchie has had quite the eventful August. For example, he's:

...Announced His Own Cruise

You heard right. Grab your American flag swim trunks and Jack Daniels trucker hats, as well as your goggles and whatever the hell else you take on a cruise and get ready to, um, go on a cruise. The thing is being called Kid Rock's Chillin' The Most Cruise, and it set to run (float?) from April 29-May 3, 2010. What can you expect? Let's ask the cruise's website (look at that amazing first line):

The seas should brace themselves. Kid Rock is about to stick it to them with his inaugural Chillin the Most Cruise, headin' out from Tampa, Florida, to Grand Cayman for a 4-day fun fest on board the Carnival Inspiration. Give a toast to the sun, drink with the stars, mack like Mayors on the craps table... and that's just the beginning! Kid Rock will be rockin’ the boat from coast to coast with around the clock concerts from choice artists and DJs, parties, activities, contests, and everything that makes this party Kid Rock’s party.

Mack like Mayors on the high seas! Hell yeah. [Detroit News]

...Sent Money To A Guy Who Was Beaten

What the hell is wrong with people? Harry Colyer, a Cincinnati Papa John's delivery man, was severely beaten last month while on the job. The beating left Colyer near death and needing reconstructive surgery on his face. When he finally left the hospital this month, a check for $1,500 from Kid Rock was waiting for him. Kid Rock had read about the story when in Cincinnati for a July 22 show. He later refused comment on the situation, though his publicist noted that Kid regularly helps out those in need. Nice one. ...Engaged In A Retail Turf War In Detroit

This is a little complicated, so pay attention: Years ago, Kid Rock purchased the Made In Detroit clothing brand from its creator. That man, Robert Stanzler, went on to develop a new brand, Detroit Manufacturing. Stanzler is now saying that Made In Detroit, backed by the full power of the Kid Rock machine, is muscling Detroit Manufacturing off of retail shelves, demanding exclusivity from Detroit-area shops. The irony? Stanzler and Kid Rock were once close friends. The fact that Made In Detroit is no longer made in Detroit, but rather in the burbs, is another irony, one pointed out by Stanzler. Guys, guys, if southeast Michigan is as bad off as everyone says, why the fighting? Can't we all get along and party? [Crain's Detroit]

...Announced A New York Club Show

It's not every day that Kid Rock performs a club date. And while New York's Terminal 5 may not be tiny, it's no amphitheatre, and hey—it's for a good cause. The show, officially titled "The Music Has Power," will benefit the New York-based Music And Neurologic Function, a music therapy foundation. The show happens on Wednesday, September 2nd, and $50 tickets are still available. Be a badass for a goodass cause. [KidRock]
